Originally conceived by then Oliva brand rep, Sam Leccia, these Nub cigars are designed to hit the “sweet spot” of a cigar right upon lighting as opposed to and inch or two down the stick. Many smokers love these short fat sticks as they can smoke the fatter ring gauges they love in half the time of a full sized cigar. The individual lines in the Nub family include the Nub Cameroon, Nub Connecticut, Nub Habano and Nub Maduro cigars. Nub versions of the Cain Habano, Cain Maduro, and Cain Daytona also exist.
Grown in Cameroon, Africa this wrapper is distinctively thin and toothy. Rolled as a Nub, the Cameroon is a medium-bodied smoke with rich cedar and coffee notes. This stick is comprised of the African Cameroon wrapper that lovingly embraces a Nicaraguan bunched filler and binder. This cigar is toasty and nutty with a very nutty finish. Along the way you’ll also find flavors of leather with short quick bursts of spice that quickly fade in your mouth or on the retrohale.
These sticks are well packed and feel solid in your hand. The draw is a bit on the firm side and offers up just the right amount of resistance. You should definitely invest some time in getting your cigar lit right from the get go to prevent any burn issues down the road. This Nub cigar puts off just the right amount of smoke.
The Nub Tubos are the same Nub cigars you already love simply packaged inserted into aluminum tubes and packed in 10 count boxes. The Nub Tubos are great for a night on the town, trips to the smoke shop, for ease of travel in your carry-on or golf bag, and look awesome when presented to your friends.
